4-H Teen Leadership Retreat to the Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center, Wirtz, VA

Pulaski County 4-H Teens In Action! had a great weekend, November 1-3, 2024, for their annual 4-H Teen Leadership Retreat to the Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center, Wirtz, VA.

This is a highlight event for the club as these 11 teens were instrumental in planning and programming for the entire trip.  From meal planning, to grocery shopping, managing a budget, cooking their own meals in teams, they did it all with the assistance from 4-H Adult Volunteer Leaders, Sonya, Judie, Suzanne, Donny and Chris Lichty, Pulaski 4-H Extension Agent.  And as a service to the Skelton 4-H Center, and for reduce fees, did trail maintenance on the Shoreline Trail as adopted by the club over 10 years ago.

4-H TIA is a club made up of teens and tween - teens thought it up, they get together, they run meetings, and best of all, they have all the fun! Who can be a teen member? Any 4-Her who is soon to be 11 years of age and in the 6th grade.

Interested?  Give Chris Lichty, the 4-H Guy, and Cynthia Hurst, the 4-H Lady, a call at 540-980-7761.
