Join the Pulaski County 4-H Camp Leadership Team

 

Pulaski County 4-H is now accepting applications for Teen Counselors In Training, Teen Counselors, and Adult Leaders, for Pulaski County 4-H Camp, June 8-12, 2026.

 

We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible teens and adults who want to be a positive role model. 4-H Camp Counselors In Training, Teen Counselors and Adult Leaders are the heart of our program. You will help plan and organize Pulaski County 4-H Camp, for youth, ages 9-13, and working side by side with the Pulaski County 4-H Extension Staff. 

 

Come help us “Make the Best Better,” “Touch the Future,” “Give Back,” and gain valuable leadership skills to last a lifetime. 

 

4-H Camp also looks REMARKABLE on:

• National Honor Society applications,

• College scholarships,

• Job applications,

• Resumes,

• And for those thinking of the ACCE program at New River Community College, it will satisfy the 80 hours of service learning.

 

Applications will be reviewed as received, interviews scheduled and positions offered until all positions are full.

4th Annual 4-H Christmas Dinner Baskets Service Project

 

Pulaski County 4-H and the Extension Office are excited to announce the 4th Annual 4-H Christmas Dinner Baskets Service Project! This holiday season, help us bring joy and a warm meal to 30 families in need across Pulaski County.

 

Sponsorships are being accepted now through Monday, December 15! 

 

We need your help please. Currently we have only received $500 of the $3,000 needed in sponsorships to support the great service project. Every contribution makes a difference for local families helping spread holiday cheer!

Pulaski County 4-H Shooting Education Club

Our Pulaski County 4-H Shooting Education Club is doing well with weekly practices and learning the art of good marksmanship and shooting in the four different positions. Here 4-H members are shooting Prone.

The club's goal is to introduce Pulaski County 4-H’ers to the fun and discipline of competitive shooting.  The club will educate both children and adults in the safe handling and personal enjoyment of shooting sports, incorporating basic fundamentals of marksmanship, shooting ethics, and responsibility and respect for the use of firearms.  Activities and competitions are designed to foster an exchange of ideas, greater knowledge, inspiration, self-confidence, and leadership skills among the members.  The program is instructed by trained adult volunteers who have completed a certification workshop(s) to learn the skills and techniques necessary to teach youth the basic fundamentals of competitive shooting.

16th Annual 4-H Thanksgiving Dinner Food Basket Service Project

Hello 4-H and Extension Friends,

We’re excited to share that we’ve received a little over $1,000 in support of the 16th Annual 4-H Thanksgiving Dinner Food Basket Service Project. Thank you to all who have contributed so far!

 

Our goal is to raise $3,000 to serve 30 families with children, helping make their holiday season a little brighter with a warm, hearty meal.

 

While the original deadline for sponsorships was set for Wednesday, November 5, we will continue accepting contributions as the need for this 4-H project remains strong.

2025 Pulaski County 4-H Camp Regisration opens Monday, April 14, 2025

 

Excitement is abounding as we prepare for the opening of the 2025 Pulaski County 4-H Camp Registration.

 

4-H Camp Pre-Registration opens on Monday, April 14, closes Friday, April 25, 4:30PM, and available to the first 160 campers (100 girls, 60 boys) (with full payment), or whichever occurs first. Camp will be filled on a first-come, first -serve basis.

Call for 2025 4-H Camp Sponsors

It's now time to call for 2025 4-H Camp Sponsors. Our goal is $10,000.

Last year alone, 53 youth and teen counselors were awarded sponsorship funds and were able to attend Pulaski County 4-H Camp. And we've loved to do this again with community support.

4-H Camp Fee for Campers and Counselors In Training is $380 and $190 for Teen Counselors. Or sponsor one of our classes taught by one of our 4-H Camp Adult Volunteer Leaders at $300. Or be a 4-H Camp T-Shirt Sponsor for $1,000.

Pulaski County 4-H receives $4,000 NRA Award

A big shout out to our Pulaski County 4-H Shooting Education Club for their $4,000 NRA Award.
