2022 End of Year Giving to Pulaski 4-H

As 2022 draws to an end, Pulaski County 4-H is very grateful for the support we’ve received from the community in support of our 4-H programming efforts.

From sponsoring youth to attend 4-H Camp, participate in 4-H In-School Clubs, to 4-H Project Clubs, along with our 4-H Thanksgiving Dinner and Christmas Dinner Basket Service Projects, the community has truly embraced our 4-H Mission, “To Make the Best Better.”

It’s been a fantastic year and made in part with community investment in the power of the Pulaski 4-H Youth Development Program. Thank you for making our work enjoyable and possible for 2022.

If you like, there’s still time to make a donation to help us continue our 4-H work in 2023.
And please let us know if you’ve made a donation, with an email to,
pulaskicounty4-h@vt.edu, so we can be sure to look for it.

Yours in 4-H,
Chris Lichty - Pulaski 4-H Extension Agent, clichty@vt.edu
Cynthia Hurst – Pulaski 4-H Program Assistant, cyhurst@vt.edu

2022 4-H Thanksgiving Dinner Food Service Project, a BIG success

Pulaski County 4-H and the Pulaski Extension Office, would like to say THANK YOU to all those that became sponsors for the 2022 4-H Thanksgiving Dinner Food Basket Service Project. We met our goal and then some.

With your support, we were able to feed 39 families this Thanksgiving, exceeding our goal of serving 30 families. The generosity you've shown is so appreciated and so needed for the families receiving. And in the past 14 years, we have now reached 148 families and counting.
We are also very thankful for the partnerships we have with New River Valley Community Services, Department of Juvenile Justice, Pulaski County Department of Social Services, and the T. G. Howard Center, all big supporters and key to identify families, with children, to benefit from this wonderful giving.

Thanks also to the Pulaski County Chamber of Commerce for helping us reach further into the community, having a greater impact.

Last but not least, we thank our core group of 4-H Adult Volunteer Leaders who worked diligently behind the scenes over the last month, and with Kroger Fairlawn, to put everything together. This has been a true community effort, “To Make the Best Better.”
We'd like to give a special thank you to this year's 2022 sponsors.
