Save the Date: Tractor Supply Company 4-H Paper Clover Campgain, October 4-15

The Fall 2017 Tractor Supply Company 4-H Paper Clover Campaign  is scheduled for October 4-15.

And we, Pulaski County 4-H, need our 4-H community (4-H'ers, parents, adult leaders, teachers, school staff and community partners) to show support by signing up.  We plan to greet customers, help them to their cars with purchases, return buggies inside the store, help inside the store if needed, and just be there with a friendly smiling face to maybe recruit a new member or two. We can even set up our displays showcasing "What We Do" and offer Homemade Baked Goods for additional donations.

And, Tractor Supply Stores who have 4-H club participation in-store during the 4-H Paper Clover Campaign raise an average of 40% more than stores who don't. And for those 4-H'ers that come out to represent Pulaski County 4-H, you will earn credit to attend leadership events for 2018 such as 4-H Camp, 4-H Day at the State Capitol, 4-H Congress, Teen Leadership Retreats, to name some.  4-H'ers will also be entered in gift card drawings to Tractor Supply and 4-H Clubs will be entered for gift cards to Tractor Supply and gift certificates to the 4-H Mall.

More information soon.  Be looking for sign-ups here in the next few weeks.  We'll need 4-H'ers, Parents and Leaders to show their support with extraordinary attendance.

4-H All Star Applications due October 2, 2017

4-H All Stars is an honor/service organization. Membership in 4-H All Stars is the highest recognition that a Virginia 4-H'er can achieve. Virginia 4-H All Stars is service oriented, and volunteer operated.

The All Star's goal is to contribute to positive youth development through "service" to the 4-H program of which they are a part. The 4-H program becomes the springboard from which an All Star jumps to other areas of service to people throughout his/her lifetime. The 4-H All Star organization strives for a cooperative effort with the 4-H program in all areas.

4-H All Star Applications are due to Chris Lichty, Senior 4-H Extension Agent, no later than Monday, October 2, 2017.  Call Mr. L and schedule an appointment for him to help you.  Let's plan on your name being read in June 2018 at Virginia Tech as one of Pulaski's Best 4-H'ers and the next Pulaski County 4-H All Star.
