Seeking Support for Annual 4-H Area Contest, May 4, 2019

Hello 4-H Friends, Friends of Extension and Teachers,

We need Adult and Teen volunteers to help us with our Annual 4-H Area Contest, May 4, 2019, at Riverlawn Elementary School, 8100 Beth Nelson Drive, Fairlawn, VA  24141. 

For those not familiar, this is our biggest and culminating 4-H Contest of the year for 4-H'ers, ages 9-19, from Floyd, Giles, Montgomery, Patrick and Pulaski County 4-H, to showcase their talents in Dramatic Reading, Presentation, Public Speaking and Share the Fun, and compete for top honors as a Grand Champion. 

We are expecting close to 100 4-H'ers and need Adult Judges and Teen Room Chairs to make the event a success.  Day begins at 8:00am with Judges and Room Chair Orientation, and a light breakfast, and concludes typically within an hour of your designated room assignment and category.  Of course, you're welcome to stay with us until around noon to help tidy up and put the school back in order.
