2021 Pulaski County 4-H Camp Leader Survey

Hello 4-H Camp Leader Enthusiasts (Teen Counselors, Counselors-in-Training, Adult Leaders),

Please take one-minute to complete the 2021 Pulaski County 4-H Camp Leader Survey. While there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding 2021 4-H Camp, we’d like to hear from everyone from our 2020 4-H Camp Leader Team to gauge everyone’s level of interest and be proactive in planning. Of course, we’d also like to hear of any prospective 4-H Camp Leaders, so please forward.

We need all responses by Thursday, February 18, 2021. Further information and 2021 4-H Camp Leader Applications will be forthcoming as we receive.

A Game of Boggle

Pulaski County 4-H recommends a game of Boggle with your family.  We played this game Monday with 4-H Teens In Action!, our teen leadership and service club, and everyone had a blast.

Boggle is a word game where players attempt to find words in sequences of adjacent letters.  The letters you use must touch vertically, horizontally or diagonally, in a chain.  You can’t skip or jump across letters.  And the same letters can only be used once in the word.  You can use the same letter multiple times in separate words.  No proper nouns allowed like Millie, Auggie, Theo.  Words must be three letters or more.

Easy enough, right?!? Get a pencil and piece of paper.  Game On!  Who can find the most words from the lettered dice?  Find the complete set of rules at https://www.fgbradleys.com/rules/Boggle.pdf

How to Make a "Calm Down Bottle"

Pulaski County 4-H recommends making a Calm Down Bottle today. Calm Down Bottles are a great way to relax and free your mind. Find yourself a comfy spot, sunny if you can, shake up your bottle, watch the glitter move slowly and glisten, and just relax your body. Think happy thoughts. :)

We'd love to see some pictures of you with your Calm Down Bottle, so drop back by the Pulaski Extension Facebook page and show us your creations.  Post at https://www.facebook.com/PulaskiVAExtension
