Rural King Hot Dog Day, Saturday, September 1, 2018

Hello Friends of Pulaski 4-H,

Please come out to Rural King in Fairlawn, on Saturday, September 1, from 10am – 2pm, for Rural King Hot Dog Day, and also support 4-H Teens In Action!.

Our 4-H Shooting Club will also be there selling Browning Knife Sets for $50.  Purchasing a knife set also enters in the drawing for a Browning .22 LR. 

Our 4-H programs are 100% community funded and we appreciate our friends at Rural King for sponsoring the event to benefit of our 4-H programs.

Please spread the word and encourage your family and friends to come out.

Extension and 4-H at Pulaski Yankees Game at Calfee Park

The Virginia Cooperative Extension – Pulaski Office and Pulaski County 4-H spent Wednesday evening, August 22, at Ag Night at Pulaski Yankees game at Calfee Park. 

Fans at the game were able to learn a bit about local agriculture and what the Pulaski Extension Office has to offer.  Bonus, was a Petting Zoo with animals from local farms of Black Hollow Dairy, Ryan and Lacie Jones, and Marsha and Kelsi Pack. The Homestead Creamery Dairy Trailer was also on-hand with their signature Holstein calf.

Many thanks to the Pulaski Yankees for including the Extension Office in this opportunity to showcase our programs.  Our gratitude as well for sponsoring a Beef Raffle and auctioning Cow Jerseys to benefit Pulaski County 4-H. 

Beef Raffle to benefit Pulaski County 4-H

Hello 4-H and Extension Friends.  

Calfee Park is sponsoring and raffling a beef cow, fully processed and packaged, (roughly 1,200 pounds before processing), and proceeds are to benefit Pulaski County 4-H.   

 

Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the Extension Office and/or before the Pulaski Yankees game on August 22.

Drawing will be held during the Yankees game on Wednesday, August 22.
