The
Virginia Cooperative Extension – Pulaski Office and Pulaski County 4-H spent
Wednesday evening, August 22, at Ag Night at Pulaski Yankees game at Calfee
Park.
Fans
at the game were able to learn a bit about local agriculture and what the
Pulaski Extension Office has to offer.
Bonus, was a Petting Zoo with animals from local farms of Black Hollow
Dairy, Ryan and Lacie Jones, and Marsha and Kelsi Pack. The Homestead Creamery
Dairy Trailer was also on-hand with their signature Holstein calf.
Pictures
here show some of our local 4-H’ers, Extension Staff, Extension Volunteers and
Leadership Council Members.
Many
thanks to the Pulaski Yankees for including the Extension Office in this opportunity
to showcase our programs. Our gratitude
as well for sponsoring a Beef Raffle and auctioning Cow Jerseys to benefit
Pulaski County 4-H.
